LABELEXPO EUROPE 2025
Hybrid Software highlights versatile portfolio
The products on display include PACKZ Max, Packzimizer Laneplanner, Peel-off labels and SmartDFE.
Hybrid Software is showcasing an array of products at Labelexpo Europe 2025, including PACKZ Max, Packzimizer Laneplanner, Peel-off labels, and SmartDFE.
Hybrid Software purposefully built PACKZ Max with the company’s technology stack, integrating Harlequin RIP, the world-leading raster image processor. For the first time in a PDF-based prepress editor, it provides instant RIP previews within PACKZ, the company says. This enable prepress teams to perform real-time screening quality control for superior print results with minimal setup. Designed for flexographic plate creation, 1-bit TIFF output, and digital printing, PACKZ Max converts digital images into precise dot patterns, ensuring sharp details, smooth gradients, and consistent color, as well.
Laneplanner is now available in the CLOUDFLOW enterprise workflow, as well. Plus, the product brings a new level of intelligence and automation to converters’ label production environment. Break free from traditional limitations and experience the full power of advanced sorting and filtering on substrate, dimensions, colors, and more with CLOUDFLOW workflows. Printers can experience greater flexibility, enabling them to efficiently gang multiple orders and labels into a single optimized production run.
Laneplanner optimizes operations by minimizing waste, setup times, and manual intervention. Additionally, this enhances print efficiency, accelerating turnaround, and ensuring deadlines are consistently met from within the CLOUDFLOW enterprise workflow.
Intelligent automation
Hybrid Software’s intelligent automation streamlines production through smart action lists in the PACKZ PDF editor and the CLOUDFLOW workflow suite, too. The suite also includes the automatic generation of adhesive-free zones. Approval cycles in 3D bring text review to life and ensure compliance with CLP and CHS regulations across all label layers, too. Die-line handling with imposition templates and data-driven step-and-repeat ensures pinpoint accuracy in multi-layer printing, guided by precisely positioned marks. The process is completed with advanced, integrated color management: delivering color matching, reduced ink consumption, and eye-catching labels.
SmartDFE
Finally, SmartDFE is a collection of market-proven components that enable engineering teams to get to market quickly. It also gives teams the space and capability to add their own value. Global Graphics Software, Hybrid Software’s OEM Software business unit, developed the SmartDFE. This product received the King’s Award for Enterprise for Innovation. This new version of SmartDFE introduces new capabilities designed to empower press operators when the prepress department is off-line.
This latest version introduces two powerful tools that will enhance efficiency for label press operators. The product improves connectivity with MIS and ERP platforms and helps print service providers streamline operations for faster turnaround and greater automation.
The new Label Studio feature in SmartDFE gives label press operators the ability to do late-stage planning. Plus, printers can prepare jobs directly at the press, too. This functionality is particularly valuable when access to the prepress department is limited, enabling operators to react quickly to production demands and maintain workflow efficiency.
“This new SmartDFE release represents a major step forward in driving efficiency and automation in label and packaging production,” says Justin Bailey, managing director, Global Graphics Software. “The new Label Studio and MISLink features give print service providers increased flexibility and the connectivity they need to thrive in an increasingly competitive market.”
